Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Role
As a Senior Production Engineer, you will be a key member of the Production Engineering team, responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing new technologies, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and introduce innovative methods and technologies.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve problems and identify solutions.
- Provide feedback on potential product or process improvements, supported by data and technical insight.
- Conduct technical reviews of proposed manufacturing changes, ensuring alignment with quality standards and product functionality.
- Manage high-value capital expenditure projects, ensuring successful implementation and sustained impact.
- Promote Lean Six Sigma principles within engineering activities.
- Identify and evaluate new equipment and processes, building robust business cases for capital investments.
- Support production engineering troubleshooting and technical challenges.
About You
You are an experienced, self-motivated engineer with a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering. Your problem-solving mindset and ability to manage projects effectively make you a natural fit for this role. You thrive in collaborative environments and can build strong relationships across teams.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- HND or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Programming experience.
- Bachelors Degree or higher.
- Experience in quality and production engineering environments.
- CAD skills (Autodesk).
